Brow Aftercare Information:

What to expect after you get those dream brows.

Meticulously caring for your brows the first 10 days after your appointment is IMPERATIVE to get the best possible healed results. If you cannot commit to these for a full 10 days, please reschedule your appointment to a time when you can.

  • Absolutely NO working out for 10 days after. Excessive sweating and increased heart rate will absolutely effect the pigment retention!

  • 1-4 hours after procedure, wash your brows with cleanser provided  (gentle, unscented soap if you run out)

  • Pat dry with clean paper towel & let air dry for 5 min (Important skin is completely dry before applying ointment).

  • Apply a VERY THIN layer of ointment. A grain of rice size is enough for both brows. Brows should look shiny, but you should not see ointment. Too much ointment is not good.

  • Repeat morning & night for 10 days (cleanse, dry, ointment).

  • Keep brows dry otherwise (no swimming & cover in shower with dry wash cloth).

  • Do not let ANY other products or makeup touch the tattooed area for the first 10 days.

  • Your brows will look darker & possibly red-ish the first 5-7 days.

  • Do NOT pick at the flaking skin or scabs that may form!! Picking will cause you to lose the pigment in that area and could cause scar tissue.

  • **Don't judge your brows the first 10 days! Also remember, they are not “done” after the first session.

  • Avoid potent skincare products on eyebrows, this includes anything extremely exfoliating, acids chemical peels, retinols, skin bleachers.

AFTER THE FIRST 10 DAYS, apply a day cream with SPF over your brows to help prevent fading. It is recommended to stay away from retinol in the brow area forever, as it will cause fading.

FROM FAQs:

What can I expect immediately after my appointment?

Immediately after getting your brows done, you may experience minor redness or swelling around the treated area, which typically goes away within 24 hours. Over the next few hours, the pigment in the skin will oxidize, making the brows look darker and warmer (redder) than they were initially. This is normal and expected. Pigment typically fades anywhere from 20-40% once fully healed.

Around day 3-4, you may notice light scabbing and flaking on the treated area. This is normal! Please refrain from picking at the brows. Doing so will result in loss of pigment in those areas and can cause scarring. Brows may appear spotty or patchy until the entire brow has finished healing. Once all the flaking is complete (usually around day 10), the brows will appear much lighter. The pigment will darken over the next 4-6 weeks and the pigment will return to the skin in its healed color.

At 4-6 weeks, your brows will be fully healed. Whatever pigment that does not return will be addressed at your touch up appointment. At this appointment, we will asses your retention, touch up the spots that didn’t stick, and can adjust the pigment color to give you perfect brows! Once the brows have healed from your touch up appointment, you will have beautiful, full brows for 1-3 years.
